Warning arises in relation to court services scam
People are asked to contact the court services
The Court Services of Ireland have issued a warning in relation to scam emails allegedly coming from their offices. The warning was posted by An Garda Síochána Donegal to their social media earlier this afternoon.
The warning from The Court Services of Ireland reads: "We understand emails appearing to come from Court Offices are being circulated. Should you be involved in a case or be required to attend Court you will receive documentation through the post, or from your legal representative/ the Gardaí. We do not look for detailed case information by email."
People are asked to please contact the relevant courthouse and confirm whether the email came from them if they are suspicious about the correspondence: https://courts.ie/content/find-us
