Funeral to take place for Leitrim man who was 'a true gentleman'
Michael John Gilmartin passed away on Monday
Tributes have poured in following the death of Michael John Gilmartin, late of Stranagarvana, Ballinaglera, Leitrim.
Michael John passed away on Monday, October 7, surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff of Glenview Ward, Our Lady's Hospital, Manorhamilton.
He is predeceased by his parents Hugh and Eileen.
Michael John will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Susan, his children Gerard(Sinead), Rory(Madeleine), Raymond (Ciara), Fiona(Cathal) and Hugh(Amanda) and his adored grandchildren Maeve and Aoife, Olivia, Leo and Eoin, Cormac, Daragh and Fionn, Mya, Aaron and Sophia.
Forever missed by his sisters Peggy(USA), Maura(USA) and Alice(England), brothers in law, nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives and a large circle of neighbours and good friends.

"Sincere sympathy to all the Gilmartin family on the sad passing of Michael John, a true gentleman. May his gentle soul rest in peace forever with the Lord."

"Sincere sympathy on the death of Michael John to Susan, Gerard, Rory, Raymond, Fiona and Hugh. Sorry we cannot be with you at this sad time as we are out of the country. Michael John will be fondly remembered for his dedication to the club and indeed all the other organisations he made a valued contribution to throughout his life."

Funeral Arrangements
Michael John will repose at his home Stanagarvana, Ballinaglera (N41E792) today Wednesday, October 9, from 2pm until 7pm.
Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday at 12noon in St Hugh's Church, Ballinaglera followed by burial to Fahy Cemetery. There will be a shuttle bus available from church carpark to the house.
Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, in Michael John's memory to the Patient Comfort Fund, Our Ladies Hospital, Manorhamilton.
