Garda issue update in Leitrim missing teenager case as search ends

Gardaí have thanked the public and media for their assistance as the search for a missing Carrick-on-Shannon teenager has ended. 

In an update to the missing Person Appeal for 17-year-old Kieran Cawley from Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim, gardaí have confirmed that he has been found safe and well. 

"No further media action is required," a garda spokesperson said. 

"An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance," they added. 

The teenager had been missing from his home since March 26, prompting the appeal.
