The German tourist operators bring visitors to Ireland and are currently seeing the sights in Leitrim, with Tourism Ireland showing them what the county has to offer

Six leading German tour operators are exploring Leitrim and Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands this week, as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.

These tour operators are important partners for Tourism Ireland, as they bring valuable German tourists to Ireland each year.

Tourism Ireland aims to familiarise them with our superb tourism offering, given that this is a key time to influence the addition of new tourism products to their programmes for 2025 and beyond.

The group’s action-packed itinerary included a tour of The Shed Distillery and dinner and an overnight stay in The Landmark Hotel.

Nadine Lehmann, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Germany, said: "Working with the travel trade remains an important element of Tourism Ireland’s promotional activity in Germany and we were delighted to invite these leading German tour operators – who bring valuable tourists to Ireland – to visit Leitrim and Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands.

"Our aim is to encourage them to extend the Ireland content of their programmes, helping to secure a greater share of their business for Ireland in 2025 and beyond.”
