Gortlettragh GAA get conditional go-ahead for MAJOR works

On Thursday, Gortlettragh GAA was granted conditional permission to demolish existing extensions to their community centre in order to make room for new buildings.
The club submitted an application to Leitrim County Council for planning for permission to commence works on the site in July of last year.
If conditions are met, the new buildings will consist of a two-story extension to the front of the building with the purpose of providing a new entrance and space for meeting rooms.
The works will also include a new single-storey extension to the side of the building which would house new toilet facilities and a temporary gym, as well as a new two-storey extension at the back of the building to form a new stage area, four new changing rooms at ground floor, and a gym with changing rooms on the first floor.
There are 11 conditions that need to be met for the works to go ahead, it is not clear right now what these entail.
The works will also include the erection of new turnstiles, a canopy, and a covered spectator stand. It will also allow for the installation of new floodlighting and car parking.
