A man who had a disagreement with some people at Main St, Mohill on St Patrick's Day last year was told if he paid €200 to charity by March 1 he would avoid a conviction for disorderly conduct.

Donatas Novogrudzkas, Ussaun, Mohill pleaded guilty to the offence which occurred on March 17, 2022 at Main St, Mohill. The court was told the defendant had a disagreement with some people in his company that night and was asked by a publican to leave.

He became a bit worked up and had too much to drink. He was advised by Gardai to go home but refused and was arrested and taken to Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station.

Judge Vincent Deane told the defendant to pay €200 to the Little Blue Heroes charity by March 1. If not, he would convict him of the offence and fine him €300.
