It's an ‘Ordinary Life’ this  Christmas  at the Island Theatre, Ballinamore on Thursday, December 29. The Island Theatre, Ballinamore is delighted to welcome for the very first time the renowned Beezneez Theatre Company from Carrick-on-Shannon to perform their play ‘An Ordinary Man’ written and directed by the award-winning playwright and Leitrim native John McDwyer.

Funny and heart-breaking in equal measure, ‘An Ordinary Man’ takes us on the life journey of a simple saw man through births, deaths, and marriages with a bit of football and ballroom dancing thrown in just for the craic. Ultimately, we realise that whilst there may be ordinary men, there is no such thing as an ordinary life.

Manorhamilton actor Gerry Farrell’s stunning interpretation of John McDwyer’s wonderful script where he plays a host of characters from a schoolmaster to a missionary priest to a football trainer is a tour de force and has brought audiences to their feet all over Ireland and the UK. Be prepared to laugh, cry and experience an unforgettable evening of pure magic. This show has been described as “unmissable.”  This is a great opportunity for a theatre trip during the Christmas season, in the style of “It’s a wonderful life” suitable for all the family right on your doorstep.

Limited seating so early booking is essential. Tickets available now online at www.islandtheatre.ie

The performance starts at 8pm, with doors opening at 7.30pm. Tickets €‎15 (excluding booking fees) and can be purchased at https://islandtheatre.ie/
