Leitrim bridge remains out of commission until late November

Road closures will continue to be in place in south Leitrim around the Aughvas bridge which was closed previously due to structural issues.

The road where the bridge is situated will continue to be impassable with diversions to the R201 and L1664 in effect along the route. 

“Due to unforeseen structural issues on the Aughavas Bridge, the closure will be extended until Friday 22nd November. County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused #Roads #RoadSafety #Bridge,“ said the County Council on X, Twitter.
