Leitrim Gaels to launch book to mark 25th anniversary on Saturday December 17

Next Saturday, December 17, will be a proud day for the Leitrim Gaels  club as they launch “Leitrim Gaels celebrating 25 years 1997 - 2022” to mark the first 25 years of the club at 8 pm in Leitrim Gaels Community Field Hall.

Formed in 1996 and ratified in 1997, the book “Leitrim Gaels celebrating 25 years 1997 - 2022” chronicles the success and the losses, the joys and sadness and celebrates the journey to where the club is presently. The book features contributions from former players and committee members, County Board representatives, local journalists and current club members making it an easy read.

The original club from the 1950's St Joseph's gets a good mention too, especially their infamous minor final victory which to this day has never been resolved.

Leitrim GAA clubs to receive funding for walking tracks

The book will appeal to the local community but due to the diversity of stores included in the book, “Leitrim Gaels celebrating 25 years 1997 - 2022” will certainly appeal to the wider GAA community and those who have an interest in local history.

All are welcome to attend the launch next Saturday in Leitrim Gaels Community Field Hall at 8pm.

For anyone interested in purchasing a copy of the book, early purchase is advised due to a limited amount being printed.
