Another remembers childhood days: “I recall so many wonderful childhood days spent playing All Ireland and FA Cup finals in the field next your house, with the warmest of welcomes always from Winnie and JP regardless of us imposing long into the evening and helping to eat them out of house and home. May she rest in peace.”

Another condolence shared, “Many a happy hour was spent late at night with Winnie and JP calving cows in the byre behind the house.”

“I have great memories of going to school with her and growing up together in Kiltyclogher. May she now rest in peace,” reads another tribute.
