Met Éireann predicts outbreaks of rain and drizzle and some clear spells on Christmas Day

Monday, December 25, Christmas Day, will be rather cloudy and wet. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will move over western counties at first, with some sunny spells in the east.
Later in the morning, rain will move over southern counties, which may be heavy at times, too. The westerly winds will sometimes be fresh and possibly strong along western counties. Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees.
Christmas Night: Rain will start to clear away, and clouds will break up, too. There will be some long clear spells in the south and east during the night, with any rain becoming confined to the far northwest overnight. Cooler than previous nights with 2 to 5 degrees lows in a weakening westerly breeze.
