No budget for street lighting

Cllr Paddy O'Rourke called on the Council to provide street lighting along the R201 from the junction with the R203 at the townland of Kivvy, Carrigallen “where there has been a footpath in place for many years. The footpath is very well used while the junction is extremely busy serving two major roads, he said.

The response noted that, “We currently have no budget for new public lighting columns in the operation and maintenance budgets. Active Travel budget will not cover this scheme.”
