RIP - 'Beautiful soul' remembered by Leitrim community after passing away in hospital
The death has taken place of Geraldine Rooney - née Crothers, Cornalaughta, Leckaun, Leitrim on April 22nd 2026, peacefully at Sligo University Hospital.
Geraldine, dearly loved wife of Barry is predeceased by her parents Dermot and Marie Crothers. Sadly missed by her brothers Paul (Rosaleen) and Dermot (Veronica), sister Mary (Brian), nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, relatives, neighbours and friends.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
Reposing at Fowley's Funeral Home Dromahair (F91 VC52) on Friday 24th April from 5pm to 7pm, concluding with prayers. Removal on Saturday to Mary Mother of God Church Newtownmanor for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to North West Hospice Sligo.
