See what Manorhamilton has in store for you this Christmas

Waiting for it to start feeling a lot like Christmas? Why not venture out onto the streets of Manorhamilton to see what your local creative businesses have in store for you over the next couple of weeks. Before you know it, you will be full of Christmas cheer and maybe even have most of your gifts purchased locally as well!
The inaugural Manorhamilton Winter Fest takes place over the weekends of 10th-11th and 17th-18th of December starting at 2pm each day. Taking place in T.A. Golden’s on the Main Street, the former shop has been re-imagined and designed as a Winter Wonderland by locally based Ukranian woman, Oksana Koshman – with help from the local community.
With a craft and artisan food producers market, Santa’s workshop and of course the opportunity to meet with the man himself, this Winter Wonderland experience is open to all, not just the kiddies. Tickets are €5 per person or €25 for a group of five or more.
Amongst the stall holders at the Market this year, you are bound to find a number of young people from all over, competing for the title of “Young Entrepreneur” in a competition sponsored by Manorhamilton based ‘Future Cast Ireland’. For more information see facebook.com/FutureCastIreland. On Sunday 11th at 1pm a fancy dress Santa Fun Run takes place. Registration is from 12.30pm at W8, with no fee to take part, however all donations, gratefully accepted, will go directly to the St Vincent de Paul.
Don’t forget - it’s a fancy dress competition too, with prizes in a number of categories, including best costume for men, women, children and dogs too!! For more information about the WinterFest and events taking place in Manor, you can follow @winterfestmanorhamilton on Facebook and Instagram
The award-winning restaurant OstaW8 at the W8 Centre is also getting into the festive spirit, as they open for Christmas party nights through the month of December.
With gift vouchers available for their restaurant and for accommodation at the W8 Village Holiday Homes, you’ll find a great gift for that someone you know who might need a break in the New Year!
There is plenty for the little people in your life at Osta W8 as well; including a post box especially for letters to Santa Claus, with those very special letters and envelopes available in the restaurant. Check out www.w8centre.ie/eat or call 071 985 6300.
