Free event on October 5th will feature talks from Dr. Harry Barry, Shane Casey, and Daniela Moyles to encourage open conversations on mental health.

The Hawkswell in Sligo will host the second annual Change Your Mind mental health festival on the 5th of October.

The free event, run by Sligo-Leitrim mental health services, aims to destigmatise the topic of mental health by sparking conversations and empowering people to share their stories.

This is the second year of the event, which was pioneered in Sligo last year, and doors will open at 11am and close at 7pm.

On the day, there will be talks from Dr. Harry Barry, a renowned Irish doctor and author who has spent decades helping people understand and manage anxiety, stress and emotional health.

It will also host Shane Casey, best known for his role as Billy Murphy in The Young Offenders, who brings his unique personal journey and open conversation on mental health to this year’s festival.

And finally, Broadcaster, author and life coach Daniela Moyles brings her inspiring perspective on self-awareness, resilience and growth to the Change Your Mind Festival 2025.

There will also be family fun activities, music workshops and wellness classes for all ages to enjoy on the day.
