The Tuesday weather forecast for Leitrim and surrounding areas

Many places will have a good deal of dry weather today with sunny spells. Mostly cloudy however for much of the midlands and east. There will also be some rather persistent patches of rain, especially in parts of Munster. Very blustery for a time along the south coast, however northwest winds elsewhere will be light. Highs of 6 to 10 degrees. Later this evening, wet and breezy weather will develop in the southwest.

TONIGHT

Wet and breezy weather will track up over the country tonight with a clearance to scattered showers following to all but the north by morning. Some heavy downpours may occur locally. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees, coldest early in the night. Fresh and blustery southerly winds with strong gusts at times. Winds will ease and veer southwest as the rain clears.
