'There are families and children being slaughtered and it's wrong' - Leitrim councillor

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council (DLR) passed a motion in November 2025 demanding that the Central Bank of Ireland end any future complicity in the sale of Israeli war bonds.
Leitrim councillor Eddie Mitchell urged the council to take on board correspondence from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council (DLR) who passed a motion in November 2025 demanding that the Central Bank of Ireland end any future complicity in the sale of Israeli war bonds.
The Dublin council then sent the motion to all councils in the country in an effort to garner more support for the campaign.
Cllr Justin Warnock also strongly support Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council's request stating: "There is supposed to be a ceasefire in place and still the massacre still goes on. The world seems to have gone quieter on it but it's still going on. There are families and children being slaughtered and it's wrong. Anything we can, even at this local level, should be done."
