"They don't get any easier" - Barry

“It's my third election, they don't get any easier,” said Brendan Barry.

“I'm absolutely delighted to be over line. I was a little bit disappointed that my votes were down 12 and 14 votes in some areas but I had two running mates so to be able to come out with a right good first preference vote and for my two running mates to poll really well and to be able to be in a position to elect two candidates is a good result.”

He also welcomed the increase in the party representatives to four.

Paddy O'Rourke wants to see progress continue

“We had four in 2014, then in 2019 back to two, and to get back up to four is a good result,” he said.

He said the big issues for him are housing and trying to get more land for the local authority to build houses on.
