UPDATED: Leitrim U20 Finals called off due to weather concerns

The weather conditions may be slowly improving but not fast enough for Leitrim's U20 Football Championship Finals as all three games fixed for Sunday December 18, have been called off by Leitrim GAA County Board.

The Division 1, 2 & 3 Finals will now take place on Sunday January 22, after the County Board called off the last club finals of the year due to frozen pitches which were unlikely to be safe to play on even with improving temperatures.

In a statement on their website, Leitrim GAA said "Due to pitch conditions and health and safety concerns of all concerned, tomorrow’s Under 20 Football Championship Finals have been postponed until January 22, 2023."

It means the Division 1 Final meeting of St Mary's Kiltoghert and Mac Diarmada Gaels, the Division 2 decider between Annaduff and Glencar Manorhamilton and the Division 3 Final clash of Melvin Gaels and St Brigid's will not be played on Sunday.
