World Mental Health Week 2023 takes place in Leitrim on October 9 

World Mental Health Week 2023 takes place in Leitrim from October 09 to 16, with a series of talks, events, workshops and activities to promote positive mental health. 

All free events are promoted by Leitrim Development Company, Mental Health Ireland, HSE Connecting for Life, Breffni Mental Health Association and a number of community organisations. 

The Wellbeing Fair will be held on Wednesday, October 10, from 10am to 1pm in the Landmark Hotel in Carrick on Shannon. There will be a range of stands with information from all agencies working on positive mental health and wellbeing. 

There will also be workshops, including mindfulness and relaxation, creativity for wellbeing, journaling for wellbeing, movement and exercise. 

Registration for workshops will take place on the day and be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Live Event with Shane Martin, ‘Minding Ourselves-Rooting out the Roots of Stress’, is taking place on Monday, October 16, at 7.30pm in the Glens Centre in Manorhamilton.

Self-Care from a Holistic Perspective: Mindfulness & Wellbeing – with Sinead McDermot: An interactive workshop via Zoom will be held on Tuesday, October 10, from 7pm to 8.30pm.
