HSE offers Covid-19 walk-in vaccination clinics in Letterkenny and Buncrana

High levels of respiratory viruses in the community have forced the HSE to organise more walk-in Covid-19 vaccination clinics in Donegal this week.
No appointment is needed and you can attend any of these walk-in clinics to receive your next booster vaccine if you are 18 years and over.
"Everyone will be offered a bivalent booster vaccine. Vaccines are proven to be your best protection against serious illnesses from Covid-19. If you haven’t had your booster vaccine yet, you’re at high risk. With Covid-19 still very active in our communities, the HSE is making it easier than ever for people to top up their protection against the virus," a spokesperson said.
The spokesperson pointed out that currently there are high levels of respiratory viruses, including Covid-19, in circulation in the community.
"Therefore it’s important that all eligible people avail of Covid-19 booster to protect themselves and those around them from serious Covid-19 illness."
All people in the 18-49 years age group are eligible for their second Covid-19 booster, provided it is six months since their last vaccine or since they had a Covid-19 infection.
The HSE will also issue reminder text messages to the 18-49-year-olds due for a booster. Almost 1.7 million are in this group and to date 95,000 or 6% have taken their second booster vaccine

Booster Covid-19 vaccines are also available at participating GPs and pharmacies and information on getting your booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccine is available here.
