'Carlow to the core' - Local election poster stirs reactions on social media

Candidates across Ireland are making their final pushes to win over voters
As the June 7 Local Elections approach, candidates across Ireland are making their final pushes to win over voters - some with very interesting slogans.
In Carlow, local candidate Adrienne Wallace has an eye-catching campaign sign, saying, 'Quare Good Politics'.
The word 'quare', slang for 'very', was approved by the People Before Profit candidate, quickly gained attention on social media. One X user commented, "Not a slogan I had seen before!"
Another user chimed in, "Absolutely Carlow to the core."
In an interview with Finbar Lynch for Rebel News, Ms Wallace discussed the issues she would be campaigning on. She said: The council has the power to CPO land, to build social and affordable housing. They’re choosing not to do that because they don’t want to interfere with the market –I think it’s time we did interfere with the market.
"The current policy is working in the interests of landlords and developers and this won’t change until we elect campaigners in the council and build local campaigns."
