Performances and workshops on offer at three week exhibition of children's music in Carlow

It is being held in the Shaw Room at Carlow Town Library
A children's music exhibition, being run to celebrate 13 years of Music Generation Carlow is now underway, and will continue for three weeks.
Music Generation is a national performance music education programme initiated by U2.
It provides affordable and accessible vocal and instrumental lessons to children and young people through local Education and Training Boards. (ETB)
The three-week exhibition is a first of its kind for Music Generation Carlow and will feature performances, both old and new.
It will bring together a visual story of the programme's journey through photos and immersive videos.
People who attend will also have the chance to take part in workshops, attend ensembles, and join the community of Music Generation Carlow.

Music Development Officer, Gavin Barr, has been a part of Music Generation Carlow since it started in 2013.
"It is incredibly rewarding to see how the programme has grown and the impact it has had in our schools, communities and ensemble programmes. I’ve had the privilege of working as both a Musician Educator and now as Music Development Officer, and this exhibition offers an opportunity to reflect on that journey," he said.
Music Generation Carlow is open to applicants for its upcoming term starting in September.
