The 5th Carlow Tullow Scout Group welcomed members of the public to its opening/registration night earlier this week.
A large number of people showed up to support the group, with a mix of families and new members present on the night.
Some photos were posted in the Facebook group 'All About Carlow,' showcasing the different activities that took place on the evening.
"A long, hard journey to open night, but they got there with great support from all. From recruitment, to full day of bases at the local school, to training, getting the perfect venue, registration night, super star awards, and now to their first night," the post reads.
The evening was supported by surrounding Scout groups, including the Carlow Kilkenny one.
A "big thank you" has been expressed to all of those who supported or volunteered on the night.
There is still a limited number of spaces available for those who have not yet registered and do wish to do so.
