Rathvilly Gaelic4Mothers&Others team was established 4 years ago and has proven to be very popular within the local community while playing friendly games against clubs in all of the surrounding counties. Our team has brought women together from all walks of life and especially helped new people that moved to the area to integrate into the community and form lifelong friendships.

This year they have being successfully chosen to play in the New York Ladies Festival of Football in New York on 12th October 2024. They are the only club in Carlow to be chosen to participate in the festival, so not only will we be representing Rathvilly GAA, but we will also be representing Carlow GAA as a whole.

This festival will see 35 Irish based clubs and 5 North American/Canadian based clubs come together to play football. With over 700 players expected and up to 300 supporters, the weekend is expected to be a huge opportunity to promote G4M&O internationally.

The festival will receive coverage from Irish based press in New York, such as The Irish Echo, Irish Central, The Irish Star and The Irish Examiner, as well as local press and provincial press. This festival will also have huge social media coverage from players, clubs, LGFA and Sport Direct (official sponsor of G4M&O)
