The teenager from Limerick involved in the crash was on bail and banned from leaving the county

The teenager that was involved in the crash with victims from Carlow was on bail and banned from leaving Limerick.

17-year-old Kamil Pustkowski was well known to Gardaí across the country, according to the Irish Independent.

A Garda alert had been in place for him.

It’s understood Kamil’s criminal activity had been heavily influenced by the Lucky Dip burglary gang.

Before the crash, he had been facing multiple charges before the courts for offences similar to the one that ended fatally.

Kamil had been a passenger in stolen cars, and had been on bail.

One of his bail conditions was that he was not allowed to leave Co. Limerick.

Gardaí in Kilkenny has been seeking his arrest after he was identified as part of a gang that stole a car in Monaghan.

Kamil is one of five teenagers that died in the crash, when the stolen BMW they were travelling on the wrong side of the M9 in collided with a car full of Carlow people on the way to the airport.

Joey Carthy (15) and Jack Kennedy (17), from Athy, Co Kildare; and Alex McCarthy (17) and driver Jeremy O’Brien (18), from Carlow, also died in the crash.

The three sisters and a seven year old boy were on the way to Dublin airport to travel to England for a family wedding.

The crash happened on Sunday in Kildare at around 3am.

The car had been bought from an innocent man just a few days before the crash happened.

After stealing it, the teenagers travelled to a rural location and stole a wallet that had a bank card inside, which they then used for three transactions before it was cancelled.

Gardaí were suspicious of Kamil and Jack Kennedy in particular for being involved in stealing cars and dangerous driving.

Kamil’s TikTok depicts multiple videos of him seating cars almost every day.

Another account linked to him shows footage from inside a car being driving on the wrong side of a motorway being chased by Gardaí.

It narrowly avoided hitting an oncoming car by swerving into the hard shoulder, however the “tyre still got smoked.”

Two of the three Carlow women involved are in critical condition in hospital, while the other woman and boy are said to be in serious condition.

They are being treated at different hospitals.
