'Three festivals in one': New Carlow Christmas programme promises family fun

The new Carlow Christmas festival programme has been launched by Carlow County Council
An “exciting new” Christmas programme that promises “three festivals in one” has been launched across Co. Carlow.
Jinglefest was launched by Carlow County Council, guaranteeing “festive fun, family experiences, live entertainment, and laughter.”
The festival will run from late November all through December, with a free public event taking place in Carlow Town Hall Car Parl on November 28th.
Jinglefest Live will feature tribute acts ‘Smash Hits’ and ‘Turf Raves,’ both of which will play chart-topping songs.
This will be in line with Santa’s arrival in Carlow, market stalls, and the official switching on of the Christmas lights.
There will also be a ‘Fireworks on the Barrow’ display.
Jinglefest Fringe, which focuses on family-friendly festive experiences across the county, is the second element of the festival.
Highlights include the Santa Bus visiting Tullow and Bagenalstown, Santa at Carlow Library, Santa visits to local town centres and a range of festive library events.
The line-up includes names such as Ardal O'Hanlon, Karl Spain, John Colleary, Sharon Mannion, Anna Clifford, Colm O'Regan, along with a diverse range of comedy, improvisation and entertainment events taking place in Carlow Town, Tullow, Bagenalstown and beyond.
“Jinglefest represents a fresh and ambitious celebration of Christmas in County Carlow, featuring three distinct programme strands designed to ensure there is truly something for everyone,” Jinglefest said in a post on Facebook.
