Two new opportunities to help artists 'thrive' in Carlow now open for applications

There is an open call for two new opportunities for artists in Carlow
Two new opportunities that will help Carlow artists to “thrive” in the county are now open for applications.
The Carlow County Council Arts Office made the announcement via the Council’s website.
“A key aim of this open call is to foster a supportive environment for artists at all stages of their careers, ensuring they can live, work and thrive in Carlow,” it states.
The first opportunity is for visual artists to receive mentoring.
It’s an open call, with an emphasis on artists being supported in developing a project, body of work, exhibition concept, publication, or area of practice.
The open call invites artists to submit an outline of a clearly defined project or area of practice that would benefit from sustained curatorial mentoring over a three-month period.
The mentoring aim would be for each participant to complete the programme with a significantly strengthened application/project proposal and a clear plan for submission.
The application deadline is August 19th at 12pm and they can be made through Carlow County Council's Online Consultation Portal.
The second opportunity is an open call for potential Artists/Facilitators to join a panel for Carlow County Council.
The aim of this panel is to enable artists /facilitators to make themselves available for possible opportunities that arise from time to time within Carlow County Council.
Successful applicants will be offered Continuing Professional Development Opportunities including expert advice in the areas of finance/tax advice for artists, etc.
