A second message read: "I am so sad to hear of Maura's passing. I knew Maura many years ago through my job and it was always a pleasure to deal with her. Maura was so kind, patient, generous with her time and such a witty lady. I always enjoyed our conversations, be they business or pleasure, and she was a fountain of knowledge.
"Deepest sympathy to Maura's husband Bobby, sons Daniel, Luke and Alex, her sisters Aileen and Margaret, brother Don and her extended family."
Another tribute from Leighlinbridge read: "Maura was a very special lady, beautiful on the inside and out, who was so gentle, thoughtful and kind to all who knew her. Family was everything especially Bobby and the boys she was so so proud of you all.
"Maura knew everyone through her volunteering work in the parish and everyone loved her. I will cherish the memories of the many chats and laughs we shared.
