The local charity has been serving Kilkenny and surrounding areas for over a decade

Local mental health charity Teac Tom closed the doors on their Ormonde Road premises for the final time over the festive period as they prepare to move to their new home at Croker’s Hill on the Kenny’s Well Road.

The local charity has provided mental health support and counselling sessions in the locality since 2014.

"This building has been more than just walls & rooms. It has been a safe place for hundreds of people around Ireland," founder of Teac Tom, Anglela Hayes commented.

"A place where lives were saved, where families found hope & where love & support filled every corner.

"We are saying goodbye with full hearts and deep gratitude for all the memories made here. This house has been part of so many journeys & we will always carry that with us," she continued.

"As The Thomas Hayes Trust moves into a new location and a new chapter, we bring everything we learned here with us. The compassion, the strength and the belief that hope is always possible in communities.

"To the next tenant who calls this place home, we wish you happiness and peace. May you love this building as much as we did," Ms Hayes continued.

"Thank you to all our supporters. You will always be part of our story," she concluded.
