ALERT: Road closure on John Street in Kilkenny for three nights
Kilkenny motorists are being advised of overnight closures on John Street Lower, with diversions in place from October 27 to 30
Motorists travelling through Kilkenny City are being advised of overnight road closures starting tonight (Tuesday).
A section of John Street Lower will be closed for three nights this week to allow works to take place.
Kilkenny County Council has confirmed that the R887 John Street Lower, between Maudlin Street and John's Quay, will be closed from 10pm to 6am each night, beginning Tuesday, October 27.
The works are due to finish on Friday morning, October 30.
Diversions in place for John Street Lower closure in Kilkenny
Diversions will be in place while the road is closed, with local access maintained where possible.
Drivers who regularly use the route late at night or early in the morning should take note of the closure and plan their journeys accordingly.
The road closure will only apply during the overnight hours, with the route due to reopen at 6am each morning.
Kilkenny County Council has thanked motorists and local residents for their cooperation and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
