Kilkenny County Council have provided an update on the status of roads in Graignamanagh after a week of flooding in the town.
Graignamanagh Quay (as far as SuperValu) has re-opened but Barrow Lane and Boathouse Quay will remain closed.
The local authority is advising the public to not attempt to drive or walk into floodwaters, hidden hazards can cause serious damage or injury.
Met Éireann has issued two Status Yellow rain warnings for Kilkenny and seven other counties as further heavy rain moves in on already saturated ground.
The national forecaster has warned that localised flooding, river flooding and difficult travel conditions are possible from Monday afternoon through to Tuesday, with warnings starting and ending at different times depending on location.
The first Status Yellow rain warning covers Kilkenny, Carlow, Wexford, Cork and Waterford. It will come into effect at 1pm on Bank Holiday Monday and remain in place until 9am on Tuesday morning. - READ MORE HERE
