ALERT: Water restrictions in place across parts of South Kilkenny
'We’re doing everything we can to protect and maintain supplies' an Uisce Eireann spokesperson said
Uisce Éireann has advised customers in parts of South Kilkenny that overnight supply restrictions are required to conserve water and maintain a daytime supply.
Overnight restrictions are in in operation in the general Mooncoin area from 10 pm until 8am until further notice.
During these times, Aglish, Rathkernian, Waddingstown, Mooncoin, Dungoley, Dornane Road, Ashgrove, Clonconey, Emil, Corloughan, Clonmore, Turkstown and customers in surrounding areas may experience disruption to supply, discolouration, or reduced pressure.
"We’re doing everything we can to protect and maintain supplies throughout the summer, but we’re also asking our customers to help by doing what they can to reduce their usage" Uisce Éireann’s Shane Aylward told Kilkenny Live.
"If everyone in the area takes a few simple steps to reduce the volume used around their homes, businesses, and gardens, we can make our water go further and help maintain normal supplies," he added.
