Grennan College’s (Kilkenny) memorable season draws to a close on Friday afternoon when they make the trip to SETU Carlow to face Scoil Pobal Roscrea (Tipperary) in the Masita Post-Primary Schools Niall McInerney Cup Final.
A 5-21 to 2-16 defeat of Mercy College Woodford earlier this month saw the Thomastown school advance to the decider. Meanwhile, the Roscrea outfit were 0-26 to 1-06 winners against Dungiven St Patrick’s in the semi-final.
Throw-in Friday is at 1pm.
"No matter what happens, they have already written themselves into the Grennan College history books. Go, Grennan, Go," the school posted to social media.
