American police officer with local family link returns to Kilkenny
An American police officer with family ties to Kilkenny recently visited The Marble City and exchanged badges with local gardaí.
Local garda T.J. Timmons was delighted to see Townsend Police Officer Tony Brennan call to the station to exchange patches.
"Tony was back in Kilkenny (his grandfather was from the Dublin Road) with his wife Amy and son Shane," gardaí said.
They then thanked Tony for his service.
