Annual Jenkinstown Camino Walk returns to Kilkenny later this month

Jenkinstown Camino provides an opportunity for people to come together in a spirit of faith, friendship and community
The annual Jenkinstown Camino Walk will take place on Sunday, July 26, and everyone is warmly invited to take part.
Walkers will gather at Jenkinstown Church at 2.30 pm before setting off on what promises to be a peaceful and meaningful afternoon. The walk will be led by Fr Willie Purcell and will offer those taking part an opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life and enjoy a time of reflection, prayer and gentle walking.
Now an established annual event in the local calendar, the Jenkinstown Camino provides an opportunity for people to come together in a spirit of faith, friendship and community. It is a chance to enjoy the company of others while taking time for quiet reflection and appreciation of the beautiful surroundings.
The walk is intended to be accessible and welcoming to all, with people of all ages and abilities encouraged to attend. Participants can come along individually, with family members or as part of a group, and enjoy the experience at a comfortable pace.
Speaking ahead of the event, the organisers are encouraging everyone to come along and take part in this special annual occasion. The Camino is not only an opportunity to enjoy a gentle walk but also to reconnect with prayer and reflection and to enjoy a relaxed afternoon in the company of others.
Whether you have taken part in previous years or are joining the Jenkinstown Camino for the first time, all are assured of a warm welcome.
Everyone is welcome to Jenkinstown Church car park on Sunday, July 26, at 2.30 pm.
