Big Belly bins now doing their bit to highlight local attractions in Kilkenny

The Big Belly solar compactor bins in Kilkenny City have been rewrapped to highlight some of the many local tourist attractions.
They are being used to draw more attention to Saint Canice's Cathedral, The Medieval Mile Museum, Rothe House, Butler Gallery and the Famine Experience at MacDonagh Junction.
This update was provided to city councillors at the most recent meeting of Kilkenny City Municipal District.
Cllr Andrew McGuinness described the bins as 'fantastic' additions to the city since their introduction and called for more to be provided.
Ian Gardner, Area Engineer at Kilkenny County Council, said that the long-term plan is for more Big Belly bins to be rolled out in the city's urban core.
