Crime rates on the rise in Kilkenny

According to PhoneWatch.ie, recent CSO recorded crime statistics have revealed that the Carlow-Kilkenny region has seen a sharp 10% increase in burglaries.
229 burglaries occurred in the region from April 2022 to March 2023.
Statistics from Carlow-Kilkenny have bucked the national trend with the number of burglaries (9,500) recorded nationwide in the 12 months to March 2023 remaining unchanged compared to 2022.
