Customs and gardaí detect green diesel in vehicle at checkpoint in Kilkenny

Customs assisted by gardaí from the Roads Policing Unit in Kilkenny made a noteworthy discovery at a checkpoint last Thursday.

"[Customs and gardaí] encountered the driver of this vehicle in Galmoy," gardaí said.

"It was tested and found to be full of agricultural diesel. It will take more than a rub of the green to avoid a hefty fine!"
