Decision due soon on major renovation plans for large building in Kilkenny

A decision is expected within a week on a planning application by the Health Service Executive (HSE) for significant upgrade works at its Lacken offices on the Dublin Road, Kilkenny.

The proposed works include external insulation and a new plaster finish to the building façade, replacement of all existing windows and external doors, and the installation of solar photovoltaic panels and associated plant on the roof.

The application also seeks permission to demolish the current reception area and build a new entrance reception.

Plans feature associated hard and soft landscaping at the front of the building, as well as the reconfiguration of existing car parking areas. All associated site and ancillary works are included.
