Dinners distributed to those most in need on Christmas Day in Kilkenny

Club rivalries were left to one side this Christmas Day as James Stephens and O'Loughlin Gaels players met in the army barracks to distribute meals on wheels to the needy around Kilkenny.
Mayor Joe Malone, who coordinated the event, said that he was 'delighted with the response from all the young lads volunteering'.

More than eighty dinners were prepared in total and Lt Col Rob Kearney thanked the volunteers for their efforts.
Mayor Malone said that the people receiving the dinners were 'all very grateful'.
