'Exceptional price' for prime Kilkenny farmland and country residence
The house and lands sold at auction for €4.53 million
A country residence set amid 192 acres was sold by auction at The Clubhouse Hotel last Wednesday for just over €4.5 million.
There was plenty of interest in Leugh House in Threecastles and the auction was well attended according to auctioneer Pat Gannon, who added that the bidding was brisk when the hammer dropped at €4.53 million and the property was sold to a local dairy farmer.
“It was an exceptional price,” said Mr Gannon.
