Four dogs rescued in Kilkenny, including one that 'had been thrown in a river'

My Lovely Horse Rescue were called into action recently in Kilkenny
My Lovely Horse Rescue have shared details with the public about a recent 'heartbreaking' incident that they responded to in Kilkenny.
"We had an absolutely horrible evening," a My Lovely Horse Rescue spokesperson posted in late November.
"Four dogs needed help in Kilkenny. A lab, two puppies and this poor saluki."
According to the organisation: "She had been thrown in a river and thankfully was saved by a guy we know in Kilkenny. She was icy cold and so shut down, terrified. This picture tells you everything. She has been through nothing but hell, skin and bone, weak."
The dog, named 'Jewel' by staff, has since left South View Veterinary Hospital, where she was being treated.
"She’s doing good now but still so shut down, it’s heart breaking," My Lovely Horse Rescue said.
"Everyone adores her. She’s just so terrified of humans, she’s been through so much cruelty and trauma. Our poor baby, she makes tears flow every time we see her sad little face. It’s shocking that this poor baby girl is this scared. Jewel is going straight to a loving foster home with a big comfy couch."
The organisation are encouraging people to donate to help them with their efforts.
"Please donate. Jewel and so many others are why we have our €300,000 appeal up. We can’t survive without you."
