Four horses impounded in Kilkenny

On Monday, four horses at Kilcreene on the outskirts of Kilkenny City were impounded by Kilkenny County Council.

The first is a seven-year-old bay female (15 hands), the second is a ten-year-old skewbald female (15 hands), the third is a four-year-old bay female (15 hands) and the fourth is a three-year-old black female (10 hands).

Should these animals remain unclaimed after March 20, they will be 'sold, rehomed and/or disposed as appropriate'.

Sale or disposal will take place as outlined in the Control of Horses Act, 1996.
