More information is being sought by Kilkenny County Council on plans to redevelop the Black Cat site in Kilkenny City before they make a decision.

There are fourteen primary items of further information requested and the application will be on hold until these documents are provided.

Some of these items include a request for the applicant to consider a reduction in the massing and scale of the development, a request for a waste management plan and a request to make provision for EV charging as part of the parking facilities.

Current plans seek to construct 23 dwelling units and the demolition of the existing Black Cat public house and associated outbuildings, including the forecourt.
