Gardaí conducting technical examination after fatal road collision in Kilkenny
This morning, a technical examination is being carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators in County Kilkenny after the death of a man in a single-vehicle collision yesterday afternoon.
The fatal road traffic collision occured on the R448 in Castlecolumb.
The driver, a man in his 40s, was later pronounced deceased at the scene.
His body was later removed to the mortuary at Waterford University Hospital, where a post-mortem will take place in due course.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and who were travelling in the area at the time, are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
