A garda in Kilkenny sprang into action on High Street in Kilkenny City earlier today when he noticed a driver 'tapping away on his phone'.
"No amount of statistics, road deaths, ruined lives will convince some people that distracted driving kills," a garda spokesperson said.
"Three penalty points and a €120 fine for the driver. A cycle alongside did not even grab the attention of the pre-occupied driver. Maybe the post delivery will.
"May as well be talking to the wall..."
