Gardaí urge drivers in Kilkenny to 'park smart' to avoid theft
When taking the opportunity to explore the fabulous scenery that Kilkenny has to offer, gardaí are advising local people to spend some time considering the security of your vehicle.
"Only take the essentials - empty the vehicle of valuables items such as golf clubs, sports equipment, tools, electronics and cash.
"Consider the location you are parking - is it a busy carpark?
"Always lock your car and close the windows when leaving the car. Leave the glove compartment open and empty if possible."
Report any suspicious activity to An Garda Síochána.
