Kilkenny dog shelter appeals for rescue space for elderly Jack Russell Ruben

The Carlow Kilkenny Dog Shelter has issued an urgent appeal for a rescue organisation to offer a space to an elderly dog who was found as a stray and has not been reclaimed.

The shelter said Ruben, an elderly Jack Russell, has limited eyesight and a significant lump on his shoulder.

The dog is also described as being best suited to a home where he would be the only dog.

The shelter has appealed to its rescue contacts for help in finding Ruben a suitable place.

“Can any rescue please help us out and offer Ruben a space?” the shelter said in a social media post.

It added that anyone who may be able to assist should get in contact with the shelter.
