The event will take place this Friday (October 30) at The Woodstock Arms in Inistioge

Oíche Chultúir le Mic Oscailte will take place at the Woodstock Arms in Inistioge this Friday (October 30).

The evening promises a lively celebration of music, language and local talent, with an Irish conversation circle (Ciorcal Comhrá) beginning at 7.30pm, followed by a traditional music session at 8.30pm and an open mic session at 9.30pm.

While the event celebrates Irish culture and heritage, the organisers are keen to emphasise that ‘all songs, music and performances are welcome, regardless of language or genre’. The aim is to provide an opportunity for everyone to take part, share their talents and enjoy performing in a friendly, supportive atmosphere.

Singers, musicians, poets, storytellers and performers of all ages and abilities are warmly encouraged to participate. Whether it's an Irish ballad, a contemporary song, a favourite tune or a piece of poetry, everyone is welcome to contribute. No Irish language skills are required.

With music, dancing, poetry, conversation and plenty of craic, the evening promises to be a wonderful opportunity to bring the community together, celebrate local talent and encourage people to take to the stage.
